Wired magazine (November 2006) asked sci-fi, fantasy, and horror writers from the realms of books, TV, movies, and games to write 6-word short stories. Arthur C. Clarke used 10 words, but all of the other stories are just six words long.

Perhaps the most famous "very short story" is by Ernest Hemingway, who apparently thought it was his best work:

For sale: baby shoes, never worn. - Ernest Hemingway

Here are some other very short stories:

God said, "Cancel Program GENESIS." The universe ceased to exist. - Arthur C. Clarke

Inspired by the above authors, I tried my hand at writing a few 6-word short stories:

Unlocked doors of perception. Lost keys.

Read his mind. Didn't take long.

Cloned a cannibal. Dinner for two.

Met God. Found salvation. Woke up.

I was never born. I'm nobody.

Dreamt I died. Never woke up.

The truth: The lie is false.

Changed my mind, so I thought.

Rebooted the universe again. Infinite loop.
