Russian Superfortress Airplane E-mail
In the 1930s the Russian army was obsessed by the idea of creating huge airplanes. The images below are of a super-sized Russian airplane, the K-7 heavy bomber, built during the 1930s. The plane flew 11 times before crashing and killing 15 people. The designer, Konstantin Kalinin, wanted to build two more planes, but the project was scrapped.

Later, Stalin had Kalinin executed.

Evidently, it was not good to fail on an expensive project under Stalin.

A. Paul Lynde:  Loneliness! (The audience laughed so long and so hard it took up almost 15 minutes of the show!)

Of course Punxsutawney Phil is not given a vote: he is physically lifted out and set down in public to check his shadow, like it or not. And his cousin groundhog at the Bronx Zoo so resented being disturbed one year that he actually bit the New York City mayor through his fancy leather glove in protest when hizzhonor removed him from his cute little den for predicting purposes one Groundhog Day. Groundhogs, apparently, value their privacy and do not do well on ceremonial occasions.

Written by Carole Cloudwalker

On Saturday my dog and I watched “Titanic” on a Netflix DVD.

On Sunday, Monday and Tuesday we lived it. Wapiti style.

Yes, it’s true: There can be high water on the high ground, even in a house on a bench several hundred feet above the North Fork of the Shoshone River, where no water has flowed in a creek for hundreds of years.
